If your young humans are bursting with energy and you don’t quite know what to do with them, you're definitely not alone. Let’s be honest, the fact that many playgrounds and parks have temporarily closed doesn’t make the task of kids burning off excess energy, or just generally staying active, any easier.
We’ve selected three of our favourite at home exercise routines that we think your children will love. And yes, they can all be done from your child’s bedroom or from the living room. As a bonus, these recommendations are all uploading new routines almost daily, so your kids can continue to have a catalogue of exercise options to choose from, for as long as schools are shut.
We’re obsessed with the concept of online kids yoga that is taught in different magical worlds! From Star Wars Yoga, to Sleeping Beauty Yoga, to Yoga with Cracker the Dragon, Cosmic Kids has thought of it all. Yes, there’s even Harry Potter yoga, that takes place in none other than Diagon Alley. You can thank us later.
P.E with Joe (also known as "The Body Coach"), has launched free, fun and energising online PE classes for kids every day during the COVID-19 school shutdown period. He's designed daily 30 minute at home workouts for kids, to get them moving, feeling energised, positive and optimistic. His first week of classes has had millions of views - kids (and parents) are loving them.
There’s no equipment required, Joe streams his workouts live every morning Monday - Friday at 9am UK time. Don’t worry, his workouts are uploaded to his YouTube channel and can be watched at anytime.
Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse is live-streaming dance classes suitable for all age groups on her YouTube channel and via her Instagram page. Along with her dance partner, and husband, Marius Lepure, the pair are teaching routines from famous dances as well as choreographing new ones.
The paid are streaming dances that are themed to the Jungle Book, Shrek, Mary Poppins, Trolls, and even to the idea of washing your hands!
